We are 6 individuals who have come together to serve on a summer mission trip through Newsong Church. We have the honor of partnering with Portantorchas, a local Costa Rica ministry, dedicated to development and cross-cultural exchange. Our journey will be from 26. July, 2009 through 9. August 2009. We invite you to share in our journey!

All short term missions teams were commissioned from Newsong and prayed for during Sunday Service on June 28th. All Team leaders prayed in their native/second language along with our missions pastor Ed Salas. We are two days away from departing for Costa Rica. All team members are making final preparations for ministry tasks - worship music, supplies, orphanage/children's activities, as well as tying up loose ends at home and at work. We are a little anxious but are assured that God had "readied" us in the past 6 months. We are humbled and open - and we ask for your continuous prayers and support. Once we arrive in Costa Rica, we will be updating you all every 3 days via blog. God bless and thank you sooooo for your continuous support and partnership on this journey.
